Crawfish
Biloxi, MS
This crawfish stands 18' long x 9'tall, with 8'claws, and is made of a metal frame, plywood and cardboard with a fiberglass shell. It was mounted to the roof of the former seafood restuarant, Wet-N-Wild. Sadly it was destroyed when hurricane Katrina hit.
The Purple Octopus
Gulf Shores, AL
Standing 33' tall and 55' wide, this octopus has been given the title of "World's Largest Octopus" by the World Record Academy. It has a steel frame welded to the building to withstand hurricane strength winds. Made of plywood and styrofoam with a fiberglass shell. It welcomes visitors to through the entrance of a souvenir shop
